The Why

My story

My journey as an artist began in 2020, when my husband and I sold our business and the COVID pandemic broke out. During this season my mother, who had been completely independent, suddenly fell ill and needed full-time care. I needed a way to work through some of the fears and uncertainty that came with navigating this new season in my life, and God led me to the gift of art therapy. I found that I could give my paintings away as gifts, and that became a joy of its own.

It wasn’t until 2026 that I began painting more spiritual pieces: Jesus walking on the water, Jesus leaving the ninety-nine to go after the one. When friends and family saw these paintings, something happened. Many had an immediate emotional response: an overwhelming sense of peace and joy. That moved me to keep going.

Why do I often paint Jesus from behind?

I paint Him from many perspectives, but often from behind, because none of us really knows exactly what His face looks like. Seeing Him walking ahead leaves room for each of us to step in and follow.

Why “Miracle Worker”?

Every painting begins with a scripture. Jesus Walking on the Water came from Matthew 4:19, “Come, follow me,” but it also reminds me that Jesus performed many miracles. And He hasn’t stopped. He is still working miracles in each of us, and each one of us is a miracle. This is what inspired the name of my business.
