Miracle Worker wants everyone to be able to see and enjoy Jacque’s paintings, including people who use a screen reader, browse by keyboard, enlarge text, or need strong contrast.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the benchmark most accessibility laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, are measured against. We test against it rather than claiming conformance we have not checked.
What we have done
- Every painting has a written description (alternative text) for screen readers, and each one has its scripture and story in plain text on its page.
- Text and background colors are chosen to meet AA contrast levels.
- Everything works with a keyboard, focus is visible, and a “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Every form field has a proper label, and required fields are marked in text, not by color alone.
- Headings run in order, so the page can be navigated by its structure.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and the layout adapts to phones and tablets.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the gentle fade-in effects are switched off.
We do not use an “accessibility overlay” widget. Screen reader users widely report that those interfere with the tools they already rely on. We would rather build the site properly.
Known limitations
- The paintings are visual art. Our descriptions convey each one, but cannot capture everything. Jacque is happy to talk you through any painting in more detail.
- Outside services. Payment pages at Stripe and Venmo are run by those companies, and we cannot guarantee they meet the same standard.
If something does not work for you
Please tell us and we will help directly, whatever the barrier. You do not need to explain why.

Telling us which page you were on and what you were using (browser, screen reader or other assistive technology) helps us fix it faster, but please do not let a lack of detail stop you. We aim to reply within two business days.
